The red dot number keep climbing even though I've read everything and used shift-esc.

Usually shift-esc will clear it (in itself a pain), but now even that hack won't help. No way to forbid slack to touch my microphone settings (seriously, dont autoadjust my microphone level, it never works and i hate you so much for it) Interface ist inconsistent between devices. Give me some freaking organization and curation to the conversations - otherwise it's 1000 person cocktail party with everyone playing drinking games.ДЄGAIN! Search sucks. Break up the people into a separate window so I can have a buddy list ala Communicator or Skype. it got better with ctrl f in conversations, but still isn't thereД«adly arranged Chinese buffet of people, conversations, channels, files and links. If they could figure out search, Slack would be unstoppable. It's so bad I am considering making my own mix of discord and slack.ДЇinding conversations you know you've had - but search is (Still) terrible, and if it was a direct message with a group of people, you have to remember exactly which group of people it was with They are unstoppable towards companies who don't have people technically savvy enough to transition any other software. Even though I use it as an integration for another platform and will recommend it even though it's horrible as a whole. Let me rant about everything I hate about slack.

Slack is one of the worst messaging apps I have ever seen. The awful crappy dependency hell of a thing they call an API. API integrations are possible over at Discord. It can be intergrated with discord to work with clients who only want to use slack or even any other platform. Whatever caused the slack outage this morning seems to also have caused some strange authentication issues where somehow, existing logged-in users end up logged-in as the workspace owner/admin.I still use slack, although I prefer discord.

Under the circumstances, we're just winding down with slack, and the free trial in January was nice for retrieving old messages. Our org used to use slack, but has recently moved to teams since we already had O365. All the conversation history was recent, and it was legitimately mine. With 2 IT staff watching, she reproduced the issue, logging into slack as workspace owner (me) without any prompt for username or login (straight from the slack app). I immediately walked to the director's office.

I've also changed my password some time back, so if I had accidentally logged in previously, that should be gone (last year at some point I did a 'sign out of everywhere').

I personally set up the HR director's laptop (it's a macbook, but we mainly use Windows here) and am 100% positive I have never signed into my slack account on that device. She was standing there with someone from our IT team who had watched her sign out of slack, clear browser cache and cookies, then upon opening the slack app and clicking sign in, she suddenly was logged in as the workspace owner (me) without any prompt for a username or email address. She told me that her macbook was signed into my slack account (workspace owner) and she was not sure how. We recently recovered and earlier today things started coming back online. Like many others, we had issues with the slack outage recently.
